Each year we honor a select number of members at our annual awards and installation dinner.
The current awards are cultivated by SCWBA Leadership in only a few categories, and provide a great sense of accomplishment and recognition among fellow members. This is a great way for us to recognize all that our members put into their work and their association. With that said, we believe as times have changed and the industry has grown and evolved, we need to add more opportunities to recognize the talents and skillsets among even more members in every industry supporting business.

We are excited to recognize the talents and skills of more members, in more categories, by bringing a modified version of our former Parade of Homes voting process to this annual celebration event each year, beginning this year in 2024. Members are encouraged to submit their projects and entries in the appropriate categories below. After collecting supporting materials from the entrant, SCWBA will create a graphic to promote it for you. All will be similar, to ensure fairness. A sample of that template is at the bottom of this page. Entrants will then share their entry graphic and voting link provided, as will SCWBA, to encourage voting in each category. Winners will be awarded and recognized at our Annual Awards and Installation Celebration Dinner on December 9th.

There is no cost to enter, just a passion for what you do and a desire to share your finished projects with us in order to attract more business and invite more association collaborations.

SCWBA Leadership will still be awarding the usual Education Award, Leadership Award, President's Award, Associate Member of the Year Award, and Builder Member of the Year Award, plus an additional Young Professional Award. The new member submission categories, which any member can enter a project in, are as follows:

TECHNICAL CATEGORIES

• Best New Residential Construction under $500,000 
  • ​open to SCWBA General Contractors/Builders
• Best New Residential Construction over $500,000 
  • ​open to SCWBA General Contractors/Builders
• Best Commercial or Mixed Use Development
  • ​open to SCWBA General Contractors/Builders
• Best Remodel or Addition Project
  • ​open to SCWBA Contractors/Builders/Carpenters etc.

DESIGN CATEGORIES

• Best Overall Home Design
  • ​​open to SCWBA Associate Members ie: cabinet companies, designers, flooring companies, suppliers, etc.
    
• Best Kitchen Design
  • ​open to SCWBA Associate Members ie: cabinet companies, designers, flooring companies, suppliers, etc.
• Best Bathroom Design
  • ​open to SCWBA Associate Members ie: cabinet companies, designers, flooring companies, suppliers, etc.
• Best Outdoor Design​
  • ​open to SCWBA outdoor recreation companies, deck companies, landscape companies, concrete finishers, suppliers, etc.

OTHER ASSOCIATE CATEGORIES

• Excellence in Innovation or Technology
  • ​open to SCWBA Associate Members ie: IT, Technology Services, Trend Setting Projects, smart home technology, energy efficiency technology, advanced technology and products, etc.
• Excellence in Industry Service
  • ​open to SCWBA Members offering internal discounts and/or promotions for the purpose of industry collaborations and incentives that improve the industry.
• Most Members on a Project Collaboration
  • ​open to SCWBA Members who wish to submit a project that has been planned and implemented using as many fellow members as possible. Any project can qualify. Only partners validated as SCWBA Members will count toward the project.
